Love it, as usual… And as usual, I will add my grain of salt 😛 (please do tell me if I am annoying, writing anecdotes back all the time!)
A friend of mine brought his son along to visit the States some years ago…. They had stopped in a McDonald’s restaurant, and her son wanted the little free toy they gave to children back then (don’t know if they still do… Not going to McDonalds much myself, and not having a child, or being too old to ask for toys)
My friend told the kid, who wanted to practice his little English, to look for the only thing “free” on the menu.
I wish I could have been there to see the face of the cashier, when he asked “A smile, please!!”
(Back then, every McDonalds’ restaurant had a sign saying “smiles are free”)
